UNESCO. In January 1999 UNESCO Director General Mayor and ITR signed a MoU signed for developing the Responsible Tourism all over the world. UNESCO works to create the conditions for dialogue among civilizations, cultures and peoples, based upon respect for commonly shared values.


EuroChile Business Foundation, is a private, nonprofit organization created by the State of Chile and the European Union in 1992. It promotes economic, trade and technological cooperation between businesses and institutions both in Chile and the European Union, through business promotion, technology transfer and know-how, also through projects to improve the environment for business competitiveness. The Biosphere set of standards, developed by the Responsible Tourism Institute, meets the GSTC's Global Criteria for Sustainable Tourism and, therefore, the BIOSPHERE HOTEL standard has been pioneer in obtaining the GSTC's recognition, the only accrediting organization in terms of Sustainable Tourism at global level, and it's the first certification program "Sistema de Turismo Reponsable" in the world to obtain the GSTC-Approved, and it's working on the Accreditation.
