Ixtapa Zihuatanejo: One trip. Two paradises

The combination of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo offers the visitor a mixture of unique travel experiences thanks to its blend of traditional Mexican fishing village with the tourism infrastructure and facilities of a Master Planned Development such as Ixtapa. This is undoubtedly a very interesting combination for both national and international visitors.

Zihuatanejo is a port that has evolved over time from a quiet fishing village to a charming tourist destination. Its beautiful bay, gentle beaches, personalized service and the warmth of its people make it an ideal place for travelers to truly relax and enjoy themselves.

Zihuatanejo has currently undergone a renovation process, with new tourist attractions that represent the essence of this paradise and they also offer a great alternative of entertainment, services and visual impact; such as the new Paseo del Pescador, a joint effort by important architects such as Arq. Enriqye Zozaya managed to give new life to the center of Zihuatanejo. The Zihuatanejo Bike Path has become another important attraction for sports lovers, you can safely go from downtown Zihua to Playa Linda in Ixtapa, two representative tourist attractions that join both destinations to continue the travel experiences.

Ixtapa, on the other hand, is a tourist development that boasts first class hotels, a destination that reflects both the sophistication and the serenity of the region. It also offers two magnificent golf courses—the newly rehabilitated Palma Real Golf Course, and Marina Ixtapa Golf Club—both designed by top golf professionals, Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Texas’ Robert Von Hagge, respectively. Both have played host loads national and international tournaments.

Thanks to the diversity and abundance of underwater species in the area, Ixtapa Zihuatenejo is currently holds the spot as one of the premier destinations for sport fishing. The climate, nautical services and facilities, the air and land connectivity and the wide range of hotel accommodations also influence the positioning of this tourism destination.
