The Cap Roig Festival, organized by the "la Caixa" Banking Foundation, is a unique experience for the senses in which a quality musical program is combined with a gastronomic offer in a unique place of the Catalan coast.

Cap Roig, promoted by the La Caixa Banking Foundation and organized by Clipper's Live, has become a cultural and tourist benchmark of the Costa Brava summers since its first edition in 2001. Some of the criteria that have led it to achieving this Biosphere certification have been the promotion of economic and social development of the territory, the recruitment of people at risk of social exclusion, the minimal environmental impact, the compensation of greenhouse gas emissions generated during the festival and a responsible consumption.

First sustainable festival in the world

The Cap Roig festival combines an eclectic quality music program with a gastronomic offer on the Catalan coast and has always been concerned with reaching criteria of sustainability in cultural, economic and environmental terms. As for the latter, promoters have tried to mitigate the impact of the festival on the environment with methods to prevent the deterioration of the environment by, for example, promoting carbon management achieving zero CO2 emissions. It is also committed to saving and efficiency energy, good waste management. Thus, the illumination of the car parks will be carried out with LEDs and a signaling project will be implemented to encourage water and energy saving.

The economic and social development of the territory, the recruitment of people at risk of social exclusion, minimum environmental impact, compensation of greenhouse gas emissions and responsible consumption are some of the values that have led Cap Roig to obtain this distinction.

The festival has become a cultural and tourist reference of the Costa Brava summers since its first edition in 2001 with a unique location as the gardens of Cap Roig.

The musical program, which brings together international stars with the first Spanish swords, is combined with a gastronomic offer of the highest level.
