Biosphere promotes the sustainable tourism of the future within the framework of the Next Generation funds

Biosphere has been awarded a grant under the call for aid for "Last Mile" digitalization projects in the tourism sector, promoted by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism through Order ITU/1391/2023, dated December 22.

With support from the European Union’s Next Generation funds, Biosphere is pioneering a digital leap in sustainable tourism through a powerful CMS designed to guide destinations and travelers toward smarter, more responsible decisions aligned with the SDGs and global sustainability goals.

This award recognizes the strategic value of the Semantic Content Management System (CMS) project specialized in sustainable tourism, an initiative that places Biosphere at the forefront of technological innovation applied to the transformation of the sector.

The grant is part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Next Generation EU funds, and was awarded following the agreement adopted by the Evaluation Commission in its session on August 30, 2024.

“This institutional support motivates us to continue developing smart solutions that improve the real sustainability of destinations and tourism companies, facilitating the transition to a fairer, more responsible, and transparent model,” stated the Biosphere team.

With the new CMS, Biosphere will offer a system capable of organizing, validating, and recommending sustainability-related content in a personalized manner, helping both destinations and travelers make more conscious decisions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We will continue to share updates on this project through our channels. Thank you for joining us in this evolution toward smarter and more sustainable tourism.
