For the sixth consecutive year, Biosphere is participating as a partner in the Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards, which are open to all public and private sector companies, educational institutions, NGOs and Government Agencies involved in tourism worldwide.
As a reminder, the entry deadline for the Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards 2024 is 30 June.
The awards recognise excellence and innovation in the tourism industry by rewarding outstanding initiatives in responsible and sustainable practices. Public and private sector companies, educational institutions, NGOs and tourism-related government agencies from around the world that have demonstrated excellence and dedication to pushing the boundaries of sustainability in their operations are invited to participate.
Since 2018, Biosphere has been a partner of the awards, thus awarding each winner with the "Skål Biosphere Sustainable Special Award", which consists of a free one-year subscription to the Biosphere Sustainable platform, where users can create and manage their own personalised Sustainability Plan for continuous improvement and recognition of their company's or organisation's efforts.
The projects will be evaluated by a high-level jury composed of industry leaders and experts, ensuring a rigorous and impartial evaluation process. Their identity will be officially announced at the awards ceremony to be held in Izmir, Turkey, on 17 October 2024.
