The importance of Partnerships to achieve Sustainability

Webinar organised by Turismo de Tenerife to demonstrate how fundamental SDG 17 is for the achievement of the other 16 goals.

Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires teamwork. Governments, scientists, academia, but also the private sector and civil society must be engaged. SDG 17 stands out in this coordinated action, because we are all in this together. The Agenda, with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, is universal and for a development agenda to be fulfilled, it is necessary to establish inclusive partnerships and alliances at global, national, regional and local levels.

Turismo de Tenerife has organised this online seminar to be held on 15 September 2021 at 16.00 GMT +01:00 with the participation of speakers who, after a brief explanation of SDG17, will share a vision of the partnerships and synergies that have been created through their projects and companies on the island of Tenerife. Among other aspects, they will explain how knowledge and resources can be mobilised and exchanged to jointly contribute to sustainable development and will share an approach of great interest at a time of crisis like the current one to motivate attendees to make a thorough review of what the business fabric of the island needs to better prepare for the world of tomorrow. If the pandemic is teaching us anything, it is that cooperation is the best possible way to overcome global challenges.
