This course also includes a free module to learn how to use the new digital sustainability management tool for companies, the Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle platform. 

The 'Biosphere Course on Sustainability' aims to provide students with basic knowledge and skills on sustainability, as well as the main concepts and ideas relevant to the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda. In addition, you will learn how to use the new business platform Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle for the creation and management of sustainability plans.

Global analysis of the concept of responsibility and sustainability, and its history to this day.

Module 2: What is sustainable tourism

What sustainable tourism is all about?

Module 3: Aligning Tourism with Agenda 2030

The translation of the 17 SDGs to tourism.

Module 4: Tourism industry and responsible tourist

Find out the importance of implementing sustainable models in the tourism industry and the role of the responsible tourist in it. 

Module 5: Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle Platform - Additional Module

Learn how to use the new platform and get the most out of your sustainability plans. A revolutionary and globally unique system that connects you to the 2030 Agenda in the framework of tourism.

Module 6: Final Evaluation

Final module of the course in which the acquired knowledge is evaluated.

How much time do I have to complete the course?

The course is comprised of 40 teaching hours of online e-learning. It is a flexible course in which the learner has 6 months to complete the content modules. After this period, access to the platform will be restricted.

What type of evaluation does the course have?

Each module contains a final exam in which the knowledge acquired by the student throughout the syllabus is assessed. These exams last 20-30 minutes. At the end of all the modules and all the evaluations, the student must pass a 30-minute final exam which includes questions on the complete course syllabus. In order to complete the training and obtain a diploma, the student must obtain an outstanding result.

Will I have a tutor to help me during the course?

Yes, the Biosphere training platform has professionals from the tourism sector, experts in sustainability, who will guide students through the modules, resolving any doubts or difficulties that may arise. Through the Virtual Campus, the student will have a direct communication system with their tutor, favouring a dynamic and continuous exchange between them.

Can I act as a Biosphere consultant with this course?

No. This course contains basic knowledge to introduce the student to sustainability and sustainable tourism.
